The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project for Windows, versions 1.0, 3.0, 3.0a, 4.0

SUMMARY

Using the SHIFT+View key combination to switch from a multiple- pane view to a single-pane view (resource sheet) can be difficult. For example, if the top view is the Gantt chart and the bottom view is the Resource Histogram, then whenever the switch is made, you have to drag the bottom view off of the screen.

MORE INFORMATION

Project has the ability to switch to a single-pane view when you press SHIFT+ALT and then press the V key (for View). You can also press the SHIFT key and click on the View menu, and then select the view. This key sequence is slightly different from that for a lower view. To activate a single-pane view from a lower view, press the ALT key and wait for the Application Control menu to become highlighted. Then press the SHIFT key and press the V key. Now make your menu selection.
