Last reviewed: October 27, 1994
Article ID: Q44557

Summary:

To perform a sort on a subset of records in a Microsoft File data file, do the following:

  1. From the Organize menu, choose Find.
  2. Enter the appropriate criteria in the Find dialog box and click Find.
  3. From the Organize menu, choose Sort, select the appropriate fields to sort on, and click Sort.

Only the records displayed after the Find command will be sorted.

When a Find is performed on a data file, all records that meet the Find criteria are displayed, whether or not they were displayed when the Find command was implemented.
