SUMMARY

The Hewlett-Packard DeskJet and DeskJet Plus will print envelopes in portrait orientation with any font. To feed the envelopes, perform the following steps:

  1. Remove the cover from the out tray and any paper that might still be in the tray.
  2. Insert the envelope head first, with the flap facing up into the envelope guides in the out tray. With the right side of the envelope flush against the right side of the tray, push the envelope evenly forward and firmly against the paper-feed rollers in the printer (until the envelope stops).
  3. Press the UP and DOWN keys on the printer simultaneously to load the envelope.

To print only a receiver’s address, choose the following settings under the Format Division Margins command:

Page Length: 4 Top Margin: 2 Bottom Margin: 0.5 Left Margin: 3 Right Margin: 0.25

To print both a return and receiver’s address, choose the following settings:

Page Length: 4 Top Margin: 0.25 Bottom Margin: 0.5 Left Margin: 0.25 Right Margin: 0.25

Enter the return address followed by a few blank lines, then enter the receiver’s address indented 3 inches.
