Last reviewed: October 31, 1994
Article ID: Q43847

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel versions 3.00 and 2.20, you can select an array of cells by holding down the COMMAND and SHIFT keys while double-clicking any cell in the array.

In versions of Excel earlier than 2.20, you can select an array of cells by double-clicking a cell without holding the COMMAND or SHIFT keys.

Excel 3.00 reserves double-clicking for link navigation, formatting, and cell notes. In Excel 2.20, double-clicking a cell is reserved for selecting cell notes if there are any applied to that cell.
