SUMMARY
In Microsoft Word for MS-DOS, a bookmark designation will be lost if Format Footnote is used twice on the same footnote reference mark.
To duplicate this problem, do the following:
- Choose Format Footnote, then press ENTER.
- Type in some footnote text in the footnote text area and specify a portion of this text to be a bookmark.
- Choose Jump Footnote to return to the footnote reference mark.
- Choose Format Footnote again on the same footnote reference mark.
Nothing happens to the document, but the bookmark designated in the footnote text area is lost.
