SUMMARY

To close your Microsoft Mail mailbox, make sure the Summary window is active, then choose Close Mailbox from the Mail menu. The workstation remains connected to the Mail system and you are notified when new mail is received (if you have selected that option in Preferences).

To sign out of Microsoft Mail, make sure the Summary window is active, then choose Close & Sign Out from the Mail menu. The workstation is disconnected from the Mail system and you are not notified when new mail is received by the Microsoft Mail server. By closing your mailbox and signing out of Mail, you close all open Mail windows. However, your messages remain in your mailbox on the server.
