Last reviewed: October 27, 1994
Article ID: Q43180

Summary:

To print selected records in a Microsoft File data file or resume printing of a file from a specific record, use one of the following methods:

Method 1

Hide unwanted records, as follows:

  1. While in the window showing your data, select the record numbers for the records that are not to be printed.
  2. From the Organize menu, choose Hide Records.
  3. If the records are not consecutive, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.

Note: Only the records currently showing will print.

  4. From the Organize menu, choose Show All Records when done.

Method 2

Select the desired records with the Find command. If the records to print have a common attribute in one or more fields, do a Find based on those fields, as follows:

  1. From the Organize menu, choose Find.
  2. Enter the appropriate find criteria and click the Find button.

Note: Only the records currently showing will print.

  3. From the Organize menu, choose Show All Records when done.
  4. If the records to print happen to be on the same page, the page numbers can be entered in the From: and To: boxes in the Print dialog box to print specific pages.
