Word: Changing Paragraph Indents with the Mouse

PSS ID Number: Q43112 Article last modified on 01-24-1995

MS-DOS

SUMMARY

Page 120 of the “Using Microsoft Word” manual for Word Version 5.00 states that the ALT key must be pressed while using the right mouse button to move the indent symbols on the ruler. The ALT key is not needed to move the indent symbols for the paragraph. You need only to point at the indent symbol and use the right mouse button to drag that symbol to its new location.

If the ALT key is pressed, the mouse buttons then split or close windows, as they did with earlier versions of Word.

Note: This documentation does not occur in later versions of Microsoft Word for MS-DOS
