SUMMARY

The background colors will be different on a dual-monitor system when you do the following:

  1. With the EGA active and a SCREEN.VID file for EGA, start Word.
  2. Quit to create an MW.INI file.
  3. Make the Monochrome monitor active.
  4. Rename SCREEN.VID to EGA.VID.
  5. Start Word.
  6. Load a document. The background on the left side of the screen is background color A and the right side of the screen is background color B.

This display anomaly can be corrected by choosing a background color in the “colors” field in the Options menu.
