SUMMARY
For Microsoft Word version 5.0 to run in graphics mode with an IBM 8514/A graphics adapter, the IBM program HDILOAD.EXE must be run before starting Word. The HDILOAD.EXE file can be found on the IBM 8514/A Adapter Interface Card diskette.
If HDILOAD.EXE is not run before loading Word, the following error message appears when you attempt to switch to graphics mode:
Cannot switch display modes.
