Adding Extended Character Support for PostScript Printer

SUMMARY
To add Extended Character Set (ECS) support to a PostScript printer, do the following:
- Find the Adobe codename of the character in the Adobe reference book.
- Go to the “/foreignvec [” section of POSTSCRP.INI or POSTSCRL.INI (this is located towards the end of the .INI file).
- Find a number that isn’t currently being used. Enter the Adobe codename at this point: ### /codename (where ### is a decimal number between 128 and 255 that can be accessed inside Word by simultaneously pressing the ALT key and the number on the number pad.)
- Reset the printer by turning it off and then on again.
There are two other factors that can affect whether the extended character prints or not:
- The codename used must be available within the font that is being printed; not all codenames can be printed in every font style.
- Make sure that there is not a Character Translation Table (CTT) in the printer driver that remaps this character to another character.
