The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 3.0 , 3.01, 3.02, 4.0

SUMMARY

A setting that was stored as “1 cm” in Word versions 3.0x reads as “.998 cm” in Word 4.00 (“.13 inches” in Word 3.0x equals “.125 inches” in Word 4.00, etc.).

This change occurs because Word 4.00 displays more decimal places than Word 3.0x does. Only the displayed values have changed; the stored values are still the same.
