Summary:

In the File Page Setup dialog box in Microsoft Works, the option for #10 envelopes does not exist when the LaserWriter IISC is selected. Also, the option for Custom Size has no place to enter the custom size.

Works currently does not support the #10 envelope selection in the LaserWriter IISC Page Setup dialog box. The Custom Size check box is unique to Works’ Page Setup and appears in the position where the #10 envelope box appears.

To print envelopes to the LaserWriter IISC, adjust the margin settings in the Page Setup dialog box by using the following the directions.

To print an envelope without a return address:

  1. From the File menu, choose Page Setup and change the settings to the following:

Top: 4.0 Left: 4.75 Bottom: 0.5 Right: .5 Orientation: Wide Paper Size: US Letter

  2. Type the address.

  3. From the File menu, choose Print.

To print an envelope with a return address:

  1. From the File menu, choose Page Setup and change the settings to the following:

    Top: 2.4 Left: .5
    Bottom: 2.2 Right: 2.0
Orientation: Wide Paper Size: US Letter
  2. Press RETURN to create 12 paragraphs (lines), including the return address.

  3. Change the left indent to 4.5.

  4. From the File menu, choose Print.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works version 2.00. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
