Word 4.00: Tabs Set Beyond Right Indent

PSS ID Number: Q42261 Article last modified on 11-02-1994

4.00

MS-DOS

SUMMARY

With Word version 4.00, a tab stop set at or beyond the right indent places one character on that line and breaks the word, placing the rest of the word on the following line.

Formatting the tab stop outside the right indent as a right-aligned tab stop allows more than one character to be entered (for example, a page number with more than one digit).

This problem is corrected in Microsoft Word version 5.00.
