Summary:
When you include a legend in a line or scatter chart in Microsoft Excel that is formatted with different dashed lines without markers, all of the entries in the legend look the same.
You can avoid this problem on an EGA or VGA with a color monitor by formatting the dashed lines with different colors. However, they still look the same when printed unless your printer supports color.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Versions 2.00, 2.01, and 2.10. This problem has been fixed in version 3.00 of Excel.
