The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 3.0 , 3.01, 3.02, 4.0 5.0

SUMMARY

In versions 5.0 and earlier of Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, when you paste a graphic into a document, sometimes only part of the graphic will show when the document is displayed in normal view (even though the entire graphic is visible when you print the document or display it in page or print preview). This problem may occur if the paragraph containing the graphic is formatted with absolute line spacing.

To view the entire graphic, do the following:

  1. If you can see some of the graphic, select the portion of the graphic that you can see. If you cannot see the graphic, position the insertion point within the paragraph that contains the graphic.
  2. From the Format menu, choose Paragraph (press COMMAND+M).
  3. In Word 3.x or 4.0, if the Line Spacing box is empty, type a positive integer or “auto” (without the quotation marks). If the Line Spacing box contains a negative number, remove the negative sign from the number (for example, if the entry is -12, change it to 12). In Word 5.0, select Auto or At Least from the list under Line.
