SUMMARY

When pressing the INS key to insert information from the scrap, the information may be inserted three or four times.

To correct this problem, set the Options “cursor speed:” field to 0.

In Word Version 5.50, the INS key may be used as either the “insert from scrap” key or as the Overtype key. This option may be set within the Utilities Customize screen. If an “X” is present in the “Use INS for Overtype key” field, then the INS key will activate the Overtype mode. Without an “X”, the INS key inserts the current contents from the scrap.

To insert from the scrap when the INS key is used as the Overtype key, use the Edit Paste command, or the SHIFT+INS quick key.
