The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 4.0, 5.0, 5.1

SUMMARY

When you are in page layout view in versions 5.0 and 5.1 of Microsoft Word for the Macintosh (page view in Word version 4.0) and use the glossary to insert a graphic or text, the page is not automatically repaginated unless you have Background Repagination turned on.

For example, if you insert a glossary entry that happens to be a positioned object, it does not automatically appear in the designated position on the page.

To turn on Background Repagination in Word versions 5.0 and 5.1, choose Preferences from the Tools menu, then select Background Repagination. In Word 4.0, choose Preferences from the Edit menu, then select Background Repagination.
