SUMMARY

When printing to a Hewlett-Packard DeskJet or DeskJet Plus on legal-sized paper, the function switches on the front of the printer under the paper tray must be set to the correct paper (or envelope) size.

The printer must be manually set to the size of paper being used. Works cannot tell the HP DeskJet printer that it has a specific paper size.

Switches 5 and 6 in the left bank of eight switches tell the printer that one of four paper (or envelope) sizes are present. For US legal-sized paper, Switch 5 should be up and Switch 6 down (this information is on the inside of the lid over the print head).

Under the Print Layout command in Works, set the page length to 14 inches and the page width to 8.5 inches.
