The information in this article applies to:

SUMMARY

Several new time and date “stamps” were added to Word version 4.00 (the new stamps did not exist in versions 3.0x). There are now 12 such entries: abbreviated, short, and long forms of the time and date, all in either static or dynamic form.

Static entries show the time or date when the entry is inserted into the document. These entries do not change once they are inserted, and they are inserted in the form of regular editable text.

Dynamic entries update automatically to show the time or date of printing. These entries cannot be edited (and display in a dotted box if you are in Show Paragraph mode).

You cannot edit the default format of any time/date glossary entry from within Word 4.00.
