Last reviewed: October 27, 1994
Article ID: Q39779

Summary:

Microsoft File automatically displays a border around each field in your data file. In File version 2.00, to turn off the border feature defaults, do the following:

  1. From the Form menu, choose Show Form.
  2. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  3. Deselect Default Field Border.
  4. Click OK.

More Information:

It is a good idea to set your preferences before creating fields. This makes the preferences global for any fields created.
