SUMMARY
The new features for all tools in Microsoft Works version 2.00 are as follows:
Close All
The Close All command closes all open documents and removes them from the desktop.
Stationery
The Stationery option in the Save As dialog box saves a group of options, such as the font, type style, color, and alignment, and applies them to other documents.
Make Works Desktop
The Make Works Desktop command allows you to save an existing desktop without quitting Works and to save multiple versions of the same desktop.
Print Preview
The Print Preview option in the Print dialog box shows each page of the document before you print.
Drawing
The Draw feature has many new shapes and commands. Use Draw in the Spreadsheet as well as in the Word Processor to create linked columns of text. After choosing the Draw On command, Works displays the Tools palette for drawing shapes and patterns.
Fonts
Change fonts in the Database and the Spreadsheet, as well as in the Word Processor. An enhanced Format menu provides additional font and size support that includes color options. The Font, Style, Size, and Color commands in the Format menu lead to other menus containing these formatting choices.
Macros
Works’ Macro feature records a series of mouse or keyboard commands, saves them, and plays them back automatically.
Full Window/Small Window Command
The Window menu no longer contains the Full Window and Small Window commands. To enlarge and reduce window size, click the zoom box in the upper-right corner of the title bar. See your Macintosh owner’s guide for more information on the zoom box.
