Broken Border Printing Around Double-Spaced Paragraph

PSS ID Number: Q38470 Article last modified on 11-02-1994

MS-DOS

SUMMARY

In Word, printing a double-spaced paragraph that is surrounded by a box or lateral lines created with the Format Border command may result in gaps in the vertical lines corresponding to the blank space between the lines of text.

This problem occurs if the “draft:” field of the Print Options command is set to Yes. Setting “draft:” to No causes Word to print a solid border around a double-spaced paragraph.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with Word Version 4.00. This problem was corrected in Word Version 5.00.
