SUMMARY

Newspaper columns and snaking columns are different terms for the same type of column. When using newspaper columns (snaking columns), the text fills one column and continues at the top of the next column.

Table columns are columns of text that contain "rows" of information. Typically, tables are used to display numbers and other items for quick reference and comparison.
