Printing a Running Head on First and Odd Pages of a Document

SUMMARY

To print a running head on the first page and all the odd pages of a document, do the following:

  1. Highlight the running head.
  2. Select the Format Running-head command.
  3. Set both the “odd pages:” and the “first page:” fields to Yes. Set the “even pages:” field to No.

In Word version 5.50, use the following steps:

  1. Highlight the running head.
  2. From the Format menu, select Header/Footer (ALT, T, H).
  3. Mark Odd Pages (D) and First Page (P).
