The information in this article applies to: Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 2.x, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 Microsoft Excel for OS/2, versions 2.2, 2.21, and 3.0 SUMMARY To delete a single manual page break, select any cell directly below or to the right of the manual page break, and choose Remove Page Break from the Options menu. Microsoft Excel 5.0 From the Insert menu, choose Remove Page Break. To remove all manual page breaks from a file, follow the steps outlined in the section below for the installed version of Excel. MORE INFORMATION Removing All Manual Page Breaks in Excel 5.0 Press SHIFT+CTRL+SPACEBAR to select the entire worksheet. From the Insert menu, choose Remove Page Break Removing All Manual Page Breaks in Excel 3.0 or 4.0 Press SHIFT+CTRL+SPACEBAR to select the entire worksheet. From the Options menu, choose Remove Page Break. Removing All Manual Page Breaks in Excel 2.x All manual page breaks can be removed from a file by saving it in SYLK file format. SYLK will retain most file formatting (such as borders or column widths) but not page breaks. To save the file as SYLK, do the following: Open the worksheet. From the File menu, choose Save As. Choose the Options button. Select SYLK from the File Formats list box. Choose the Save button. From the File menu, choose Close. From the File menu, choose Open. Type the name of the worksheet with an .SLK extension in the File Name box. Choose the Open button. The resulting worksheet will not have any manual page breaks. The file must now be returned to normal file format. To do this, follow steps 1-5 above, but substitute Normal for SYLK in step 4.
