Summary:

The file conversion utility, WPTOWP.EXE, converts files between the following four formats:

  1. Microsoft Works
  2. Microsoft Word
  3. Microsoft Interchange Rich Text Format (RTF)
  4. IBM Document Content Architecture (DCA) Revisable-Form-Text (RFT)

More Information:

In Works versions 1.00 and 1.05, WPTOWP.EXE should be run outside of Works. Start the utility by typing WPTOWP, then follow the screen prompts to convert a file.

This utility for Works 1.x is available from Microsoft Customer Service by calling (800) 426-9400 or (206) 936-8661 (for international customers only).

In Works 2.00, file conversion is built into the program and accessed by the Convert command on the File menu. The conversion utility that the File Convert command uses, WPTOWP.EXE, is available by calling Microsoft Customer Service at (800) 426-9400 or (206) 936-8661 (for international customers only).
