SUMMARY

Running heads or footnotes can be formatted as side-by-side paragraphs in Word Version 5.00. However, in Word Versions 3.x and 4.00 this is not possible. In these versions, to get side-by-side text within a running head or footnote, set a tab stop at the point where the right-paragraph text would begin.
