Formatting Numbers with Commas Every Third Digit PSS ID Number: Q36623 Article last modified on 01-09-1989 PSS database name: D_MPlan

4.00

MS-DOS

Summary:

To format a number such as 1000000 as 1,000,000, you use a different procedure in Version 4.00 of Multiplan than you use in earlier versions. With Version 4.00, you use the Format Cell command and change the Format field to #,##0.00.

In earlier versions of Multiplan, you use the Format Options command and put the Commas field to Yes after formatting the cells in question for either $, fix, or %.

More Information:

For further information on these procedures, please consult Pages A42 through A55 of the “Microsoft Multiplan Addendum” for Version 4.00 of Multiplan. See Page 308 of the “Microsoft Multiplan” manual if you have Multiplan Version 3.00.
