SUMMARY

The New Paragraph After Insertion Point command can be found in the Commands dialog box. This command is issued by default by pressing COMMAND+OPTION+RETURN.

This New Paragraph After Insertion Point command is useful when you want to insert a new paragraph mark but continue typing in the current paragraph. When you insert the paragraph mark, the following text moves to a new line, and the insertion point remains in its current position. For example, you may want to use this command when inserting text in the middle of a paragraph to avoid the distraction of the following text being pushed to the right as you type.

To remove this paragraph mark, use of the following two procedures:

1. Use Delete Forward (COMMAND+OPTION+F) when you’ve finished typing.
2. Select the mark and choose Cut.
