- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 4.0, 5.0 and 5.1

SUMMARY

To use the END and HOME keys on the extended keyboard to move the insertion point to the beginning or end of a document, follow the appropriate procedure below.

Word version 5.0 and 5.1

To move to the beginning of a document, press COMMAND+HOME.

To move to the end of a document, press COMMAND+END.

Word version 4.0

By default, the HOME and END keys on an extended keyboard move the insertion point to the upper-left and lower-left corners of the window, respectively.

To change the default functions of the END and HOME keys so that they move the insertion point to the beginning and end of the document, respectively:

  1. From the Edit menu, choose Commands.
  2. From the list of commands, select the Move To Start Of Document command.
  3. Choose the Add button (next to Keys).
  4. Press the HOME key and choose the OK button.
  5. From the list of commands, select the Move To End Of Document command.
  6. Choose the Add button (next to Keys).
  7. Press the END key and choose the OK button.
