You cannot use the Update Link and Edit Link commands on the Edit menu in version 4.0 of Microsoft Word for the Macintosh unless you have MultiFinder installed and turned on.
To install and use MultiFinder, read the MultiFinder user’s guide, which comes with the System Tools disk (version 5.0 or later).
