SUMMARY

To assign a key combination to a style, glossary entry, or document, in Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, version 4.0 or 5.0, follow these steps:

  1. From the Edit menu, choose Commands. In Word 5.0, choose Commands from the Tools menu.

  2. Select either Apply Style Name, Glossary Entry, or Open File Name from the commands list.

  3. From the new list box at the top of the dialog, do one of the following:

    • Choose the desired style name or glossary entry.

      -or-

    • Choose Open File Name, click the Open File button, and select the desired document.

  4. Click the Add Key button.

  5. Press the key combination to define that item.

  6. Click Cancel to leave the Commands dialog. In Word 5.0, click Close.
