The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh versions 4.0, 5.0

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, version 4.0, Page View, formulas always display in their final form (regardless of whether or not you are in Show Paragraphs mode). To edit a formula, you must switch to Galley View and choose Show Paragraphs from the Edit menu.

This is also true for Word versions 5.0 and later. Galley View and Page View are called Normal and Page Layout respectively in Word versions 5.0 and later. Normal, Page Layout and Show Paragraphs are on the View menu in Word versions 5.0 and later.
