MS-DOS

MEMSET.EXE:

A program to analyze your system’s memory to determine the best memory configuration based on the answers you provide to the questions you see on your screen. DEVICE= lines are then added or modified in your CONFIG.SYS file to load the appropriate memory driver. Note that this program should not be used with Windows/386.

This program was inadvertently included with Windows/386. Since Windows/386 includes its own memory-management facility, the expanded memory managers installed by MEMSET.EXE would be inappropriate for use with Windows/386.
