Summary:
MS-DOS interrupt 21h service 59h (Get Extended Error) will return information about the current MS-DOS error, including useful information such as a recommended action for the currently running application. However, using this service from an interrupt 24h (Critical Error Error) handler will cause problems, and will not behave properly.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with MS-DOS Version 3.00. This problem was corrected in MS-DOS Version 3.10.
