Multiplan: Cannot Preselect Range for Copy From Command PSS ID Number: Q34645 Article last modified on 04-08-1991 PSS database name: D_MPlan

4.00

MS-DOS

Summary:

Microsoft Multiplan version 4.00 allows you to preselect a range of cells for carrying out certain commands (for example, formatting, blanking, etc.); however, you cannot preselect a range of cells for copying with the Copy From command. If you do preselect a range and then issue a Copy From command, the range you selected will appear in the “to cells:” (destination) field rather than in the “from cells:” (source) field. To select a range of cells for copying with this command, do the following:

  1. Choose Copy From.
  2. Select the range of cells to be copied.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Multiplan version 4.00. This problem was corrected in Multiplan version 4.20. Updated or new Microsoft software can be ordered in the US by contacting Microsoft End User Sales and Service at (800) 426-9400. If calling from outside the US, contact Microsoft International Customer Service at (206) 936-8661.
