SYMPTOMS
The QuickBasic environment periodically displays a "Device I/O" error message when attempting to save a program if Microsoft Mail is active but the Macintosh is not connected to the AppleTalk network. To work around the problem, connect the Macintosh to the network or deactivate Microsoft Mail.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in Version 1.00. We are researching this problem and will post new information as it becomes available.
