File: "Disk is Full" Caused by Network Nonsupport

Last reviewed: October 26, 1994
Article ID: Q34268

Summary:

When you try to save a Microsoft File 1.00, 1.01, 1.02, 1.04, or 1.05 data file across a network, you may receive the error "Disk is full." Microsoft File versions 1.0x are not supported as network applications.

To work around this problem, do the following:

   1. Save the data file to your local workstation.

   2. Quit Microsoft File and copy the data file to the network server.

Microsoft File version 2.00 is network compatible and should not return this type of error unless the disk truly is full.
