SYMPTOMS
The COM+ (Dllhost.exe) process loads the latest version of .NET Runtime during remote client activations. Dllhost.exe must load the version of .NET Runtime that the client application is linked with.
CAUSE
By default, DLLGetClassObject loads .NET Runtime when remote client activations arrive at mscoree!DllGetClassObject.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
