SYMPTOMS

The Compensating Resource Manager (CRM) and the CRM Worker both use the ICrmLogControl::WriteLogRecordVariants method to write structured log records and to make the records durable. If you use this method, a memory leak occurs in COM+ applications.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
