SYMPTOMS

When you try to replicate the COM+ catalog from one Windows 2000 Server to another with Windows 2000 Server with .NET Framework installed on the source computer, COMREPL does not respond.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the COMREPL utility tries to incorrectly export the .NET utilities library application.

If you view the comrepl.log file that is located in your Winnt\System32\Com\Replication folder on the destination server, you see that the computer does not respond when it tries to install the .NET Utilities application.
