SYMPTOMS

If you use transient subscriptions or per-user transient subscriptions to fire an event when you run in a non-administrative Windows account, the Component Object Model (COM) call returns an "access denied" error message with the error code, 0x80070005.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article.
