SYMPTOMS

You may not be able to log on to the domain after you add your computer to the domain. When this problem occurs, event ID 3210 is recorded in the event log.

CAUSE

The problem occurs because the synchronization among domain controllers does not finish.

RESOLUTION

Service Pack Information

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, wait for a while until synchronization is finished.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
