SYMPTOMS

When you export COM+ applications that have the Component Services snap-in on Windows 2000 that has the COM+ 18.1 rollup, the generated .msi file may have extra entries. The extra entries in the .msi file would not be generated if the COM+ 18.1 rollup was not installed on the computer. Because of the extra entries, you may receive the following error message when you install the .msi file:

Error 1929. Error unregistering COM+ Application. Contact your support personnel for more information.

RESOLUTION

Service Pack Information
