SYMPTOMS

You may experience a problem when you try to make a Serial Line Internet Protocol (SLIP) connection to a server that is running Compressed Serial Line Internet Protocol (CSLIP). When you do so, you may receive a blank Telnet screen or may not be able to connect with the Windows 2000 SLIP client to the CSLIP server.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
