SYMPTOMS

When you use an AIMM-aware (Accessibility) program with the Japanese version of a Microsoft Office XP program, incorrect characters may appear when you type double-byte character set (DBCS) characters in the Input Method Editor (IME).

CAUSE

This problem may occur on a Microsoft Windows 98-based or on a Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me)-based computer.
