SYMPTOMS
Under the following conditions, your PCI-PCI bridge device may not receive an interrupt resource that is reported by the bridge:
- You are using an Intel-based computer.
- Your computer uses one of the following Hardware Abstraction Layers (HALs):
- A standard HAL.
- A non-Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) uni-processor MPS HAL.
- A non-ACPI multiple-processor MPS HAL.
CAUSE
This problem may be caused by a problem in in the following HALs:
- Halapic.dll - "MPS Uniprocessor PC"
- Halmps.dll - "MPS Multiprocessor PC"
- Hal.dll - "Standard PC" (single processor HAL)
