SYMPTOMS

STRFTIME returns the wrong strings for locales, for which the time display format string is hh:mm:ss tt. The time string is output as 04:30:45 p, instead of 04:30:45 p.m.

This problem occurs for Spanish and Mexican locales.

The following code returns the time display format string for a specific locale:

GetLocaleInfo(..., LOCALE_STIMEFORMAT, ...)

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
