SYMPTOMS

When you quit Microsoft PowerPoint, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:

PowerPoint found an error it can't correct. You should save presentations, quit, and restart PowerPoint.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the Norton AntiVirus Office add-in program is installed. This add-in program scans files in Microsoft Office products for macro viruses.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, visit the following Symantec Web site to obtain either an updated version of the Norton AntiVirus Office add-in program or to receive help with the reconfiguration of the Norton AntiVirus Office add-in program:
